RESIDENTIAL & Commercial ACCESSIBLE DESIGN RENOVATIONS

Our Vision

A barrier-free society for all.

Our Mission

We open doors for people to live in the community with dignity through supportive living services.

Who We Are

We make residential and commercial Spaces Accessible for everyone

Since 1997, the RAD Renovations Program has been an industry leader in transforming residential homes into safer and more accessible spaces for individuals with limited mobility. RAD Renovations is a program of Accessible Housing, a charitable, non-profit organization providing accessible services and supports in Calgary for more than 45 years.

We understand how overwhelming and stressful it can be to coordinate a renovation. Let alone a renovation that entails accessibility codes and construction, especially when the safety of your loved ones or patrons is at stake.

Our team of accessibility experts offers a variety of services including site or home assessment, accessibility recommendation report, quotes from our qualified accessibility contractors and project coordination. If you have any questions you need to be answered we are happy to help. Our goal is to provide reliable accessibility advice and services at an affordable cost. We assist our clients throughout the construction process by simplifying and communicating the process in a way that can easily be understood.

Rick hansen Foundation Accessibility certified

Our Project Consultants are Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certified Professionals and are qualified in providing an Accessibility Recommendation Report for residential and commercial spaces. The Accessibility Recommendation Report details the accessibility features required with dimensions, notes on construction feasibility and potential design specifications.

Giving back to the Community

RAD is a Social Enterprise

All proceeds go back into our non-profit program to continue to help those in need. We can help fund accessibility renovations for low-income members in our communities through our work.
